MGR Industries and APC Technology are introducing a sealed/rugged industrial-grade computer with a Near Field Image™ (NFI) Touch Screen. This 15” flat panel (TFT) display is front-panel sealed to NEMA4X/IP66 standards. This display/touch screen is a durable combination that allows for application into industries where the unit is exposed to chemicals, liquids, dirt, dust, metal shards and airborne particles. The NFI Touch Screen is operable with either bare or gloved hand or a conductive stylus. The robust glass front window stands up to extensive abuse, which would otherwise damage conventional touch screen technologies. The optional stainless steel (S.S.) faceplate is ideal in environments requiring wash down and sterilization. The critical internal components are shock and vibration isolated which allow mounting to production-type machinery. The unit is easily panel mounted and sealed with its integral gasket and studs.

The Intel™ ATX motherboard features a Pentium III, 1GHz processor, 128MB RAM (upgradeable to 1GB). Other standard features are a 20GB HDD; 3.5” FDD; 3 PCI and 1 AGP expansion slots; 4 USB ports; 1 parallel and 1 available serial port, Windows 2000, 10/100 Base Ethernet adapter, PC audio and PS/2 keyboard/mouse ports.

Optional items include the stainless steel faceplate; solid state HDD; DC power supply; WindowsXP; CD-ROM or CD-RW.
